In 2008 the company celebrated its 100 anniversary. It was a great event because Converse is the best basketball shoes well known all over the world and worn by famous NBA players. But many of us don’t know that Converse didn’t start as a shoe company in basketball business.
Converse released its first pair of boots in 1908. They were making rubber soled footwear. Only in 1917 the first basketball shoes was released. The model line was named Converse All Star. The company found a promoter in the person of Charles “Chuck” Taylor. He was doing his best and in 1923 his signature was added to the All Star patch.
Converse became extremely popular footwear so in 1975 converse added “One Star” to its lineup. These shoes were low-cut created right for the basketball. Then they were adopted by skaters. But till now they are seeking for the changes in design.
In 2008 the shoes developers collaborated to make the new Converse One Star. Let’s see what Converse One Star is!
